Grace Leong

Grace founded studio MGL in 2016 with the belief that great design should be equitable and serve communities. After finishing her undergraduate degree in architecture, she worked many years for the National Cancer Institute (at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, the Yale Comprehensive Cancer Center, and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center). After returning to architecture for graduate school, she worked on a fantastic variety of projects at the Miller Hull Partnership for over a decade. With a desire to focus on multi-family housing, she then worked at Weinstein Architects and Urban Designers, a firm widely admired for their design rigor.

With more than 20 years of Seattle-based practice, she leads studio MGL with a hands-on approach to designing functional, beautiful spaces that are deeply rooted in place and community.
